As a Senior Manager, Strategy and Business Development for Baxter's Global Nutrition, Monitoring & Digital portfolio, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product offerings. In this role, you will oversee global upstream marketing responsibilities for our Nutrition Monitoring & Digital portfolios. This includes developing and implementing comprehensive product strategies, identifying opportunities for new product development, and managing relationships with third-party suppliers. You will also be responsible for creating global commercial plans and marketing initiatives that align with our financial goals. Your work will involve close collaboration with various departments, including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and regional marketing teams, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product management throughout their lifecycle. Additionally, you will support Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) efforts by identifying potential growth opportunities, leading due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, and nurturing relationships with potential clients and partners. Your ability to stay informed about emerging technologies and market trends will be crucial in pinpointing opportunities for innovation and maintaining a competitive edge in the industry. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring the healthcare landscape and mitigating threats to our existing portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy for Baxter's Nutrition Monitoring & Digital portfolios.
  • Uncover opportunities for new product development/partnership based on market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Develop global commercial plans and implement key marketing growth initiatives to support overall financial results.
  • Lead commercial activities for product development, collaborating closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Medical, Manufacturing, and regional marketing teams.
  • Prepare launch plans and work with regional and country-level marketers to ensure launch readiness and implementation.
  • Analyze product data, customer feedback, and market trends to identify new business opportunities and define product requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the healthcare landscape to proactively identify and mitigate threats to the existing portfolio and development pipeline.
  • Deliver successful product management throughout the product lifecycle, including product improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party suppliers.
  • Identify and evaluate potential growth opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, and acquisitions.
  • Lead due diligence on business development targets for M&A and/or strategic partnerships, including market sizing and business case development.
  • Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, partners, and collaborators to generate leads and cultivate business opportunities.
  • Support the negotiation and execution of business agreements, contracts, and partnerships to drive revenue growth and strategic alliances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in the healthcare industry; 7+ years of combined work experience including management consulting, strategic planning, strategic marketing, and new product development.
  • Successful track record of bringing innovative products to market with a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and market trends.
  • Experience in management consulting, strategy development, or strategic marketing, with prior financial/analytics experience.
  • Robust capabilities in analyzing complex issues and making reasoned judgments to evaluate business challenges and develop strategic solutions.
  • Deep understanding of business principles, financial analysis, and market dynamics to drive growth.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts and present recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving environment and manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
  • Proven success in driving results and inspiring change.
