The Global Monetization Product & Tech team at TikTok is focused on building a global marketing platform that fuels growth for businesses of all sizes. The Senior Global Product Marketing Manager for SMB Ecommerce & Core Ads will play a crucial role in helping small and medium businesses (SMBs) adopt the right advertising solutions to grow their business on TikTok. This position is part of the SMB Growth team, which supports product market fit for SMBs and is responsible for the go-to-market (GTM) strategy in partnership with sales and marketing. In this role, the manager will act as the "COO" of the SMB e-commerce solutions, leading efforts to determine and improve product market fit for SMB advertisers. This includes driving product and best practices adoption and building product GTM strategy. The ideal candidate will thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment, utilizing strong analytical skills and customer insights to prioritize and advocate for product improvements. A strong sense of ownership is essential to proactively identify product issues and drive necessary enhancements. The manager will be the expert on SMB e-commerce customers and their needs, leveraging qualitative customer feedback, quantitative analysis, and proactive industry research. They will also partner with product and SMB Growth teams to identify and address product gaps, improving product fit and SMB advertiser performance on TikTok. Additionally, the role involves building a holistic e-commerce GTM strategy and positioning for SMBs, collaborating with product GTM and marketing teams to translate the strategy into actionable sales playbooks and customer-facing content that connects product features to customer benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Be the expert of SMB e-commerce customers and their needs through qualitative customer feedback, quantitative analysis, and proactive industry research.
  • Be the expert of current and upcoming e-commerce related ads product solutions.
  • Partner with product and SMB Growth teams to identify, root cause, and drive progress in top product gap areas to improve product fit and SMB advertiser performance on TikTok.
  • Identify top product features and best practice recommendations that would improve SMB's advertising performance.
  • Partner with regional PMMs, SMB Growth teams, and regional marketing to drive adoption of those recommendations.
  • Build holistic e-commerce GTM strategy and positioning for SMBs across current and upcoming product solutions for commerce advertisers.
  • Partner with product GTM and marketing teams to turn the strategy into sales playbooks and customer-facing content connecting product features into customer benefits.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in product marketing and operations, product strategy, or equivalent function.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is a plus.
  • Experience doing product deep-dives proactively through data analysis and customer insights to identify product gaps.
  • Experience connecting product benefits with customer needs, and building GTM plans and content to drive product adoption.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to make prompt decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
