The Senior Global Product Marketing Specialist for Sustainable Technologies at Cardinal Health plays a pivotal role in defining and executing marketing strategies for the company's reprocessing business. The specialist will identify customer needs and implement marketing strategies for the assigned portfolio, which includes defining pricing, positioning, promotion, branding, and operational support to enhance customer loyalty and drive sales growth. Sustainable Technologies™, a division of Cardinal Health, focuses on extending the life of single-use medical devices through FDA-regulated reprocessing. This initiative not only drives supply resiliency and financial value but also simplifies the process for clinical teams to contribute to their organizations' sustainability goals. The Senior Global Product Specialist will lead core product management activities that are essential for the growth of the Sustainable Technologies reprocessing business on a global scale. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively across various functions to execute strategic business objectives that enable long-term growth. In this role, the specialist will become the subject matter expert for all elements of the global reprocessing business, leading critical revenue-driving projects and effectively communicating project progress. They will manage product lifecycle activities, including key projects, change development processes, and data management. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sourcing, manufacturing, enterprise marketing, and more, to ensure alignment and support for business goals. The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with manufacturing and supply chain partners, translating market and customer needs into actionable strategies to drive sales and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Become the subject matter expert for all elements of the global reprocessing business.
  • Lead critical revenue driving projects and effectively communicate project progress.
  • Lead product lifecycle management activities for the portfolio, including key projects or programs, change development processes, and data management.
  • Work collaboratively among cross-functional teams including R&D, sourcing, manufacturing, enterprise marketing, enterprise contracting, strategic pricing, customer service, finance, quality, regulatory, legal, inventory, regional and channel teams.
  • Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of marketing and product management disciplines necessary for building business plans, product plans, and marketing plans.
  • Own manufacturing and supply chain relationships for assigned portfolio and develop effective communication methods between supply planning, manufacturing, and regional marketing teams.
  • Translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales and profitability for the business.
  • Identify and remain current on market trends, determining product/service lifecycle implications and making recommendations to maintain market competitiveness and achieve sustainable economic success.
  • Exhibit strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in a related field, preferred.
  • Tenacity and willingness to roll up your sleeves and work quickly.
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritization to deliver on business commitments.
  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
