About the position

The Senior Global Security Operations Center Specialist at Edward Jones is responsible for the operation of a 24-hour Global Physical Security Control Center. This role involves managing firm risk, responding to emergency calls, and ensuring the safety of multiple campuses and branch offices. The specialist engages in proactive intelligence gathering and disseminates critical information to stakeholders, while also monitoring security systems and alarms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Firm risk in responding to routine and emergency calls for service from Branch, Home-Based, and Home Office Associates.
  • Engage in proactive intelligence gathering by monitoring local, national, and international news for critical incidents.
  • Disseminate critical event information to stakeholders that could affect business and travel.
  • Maintain mandatory on-site global intelligence operations from the home office 24/7.
  • Collect and triage security-relevant information for dissemination to various departments.
  • Monitor and respond to Home Office fire security alarms, emergencies, and security access.
  • Monitor camera and video activity and respond to discrepancies.
  • Operate the digital multi-campus radio system and facilitate communication among security team members.
  • Make appropriate emergency notifications and alert emergency services.
  • Conduct and document scheduled tests and inspections of all security systems.
  • Effectively operate the security access control and badge software systems.
  • Maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures and policies.
  • Assist with preparing dashboards and reports for data analysis.
  • Complete assigned additional responsibilities according to schedule.
  • Complete a 12-week training program and participate in ongoing training opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of relative experience in security, loss prevention, law enforcement, or emergency medical services.
  • Knowledge of security dispatch operations and physical security systems.
  • Must be able to type 30 WPM.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge acquired through previous experience, certification, or specialized training in Security Systems.
  • Ability to work Friday-Monday 10-hour shifts.
