About the position

The Senior Global Supply Sourcing Manager (Sourcing Manager IV) is responsible for strategic planning, long-term deal structuring, and negotiations within a leading tech company. This role requires collaboration with various internal teams and external suppliers to develop and execute sourcing strategies while driving cost reduction initiatives. The position demands strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a nuanced understanding of the commodity landscape to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces.
  • Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals.
  • Understand contract T&C redlines and business and commercial implications, conducting contract T&C negotiations with suppliers effectively and timely.
  • Negotiate optimal terms for sourcing with suppliers, understanding trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality.
  • Collaborate across the organization to ensure business objectives are met, synthesizing and communicating findings to senior leaders.
  • Optimize supply chain performance through cost and capacity scenario analysis and benchmarking.
  • Provide overall program management support and contribute to the ongoing development of processes, templates, escalation procedures, and reporting.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree plus 5+ years of work experience, master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build, grow, and develop key cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience in supplier management and operations, with the ability to solve complex supply chain issues.
  • Direct experience in long-term capacity planning is a plus.
  • Interest in technology.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and solve complex problems with 80% information.
