About the position
The Senior Golang Developer will play a crucial role in enhancing a forecasting application for a company in the Weather Forecasting industry. This position involves developing large-scale microservices cloud applications and utilizing modern DevOps practices to accommodate changing weather patterns. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering, particularly with Golang, and will work in a hybrid environment based in Atlanta.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance a forecasting application to accommodate changing weather patterns.
- Design and implement large-scale microservices cloud applications.
- Utilize modern DevOps practices in the development process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years software engineering experience
- 5+ years working with Golang
- Experience developing large-scale microservices cloud applications
- Extensive experience with modern DevOps practices
- Cloud experience in AWS (open to Google Cloud Platform/Azure)
- Experience with infrastructure as code
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Angular
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes
