About The Position

The Senior Grant Manager at the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research is responsible for providing comprehensive research compliance and financial management support, overseeing all aspects of pre and post-award administration. This role requires collaboration with faculty and various stakeholders to ensure effective grant management and compliance with sponsor requirements, ultimately contributing to the mission of reducing the burden of serious mental illness through innovative research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5 to 7 years of experience in federal and non-federal grant administration at a non-profit organization.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and project management aptitude.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication, with a track record of producing high-quality written content.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships and communicate effectively with research administration officials at collaborating institutions.
  • Strong understanding of federal-sponsored research guidance and knowledge of grantmaking agencies.
  • Proficiency with financial systems, effort management software, and grants management applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with G-suite applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all pre- and post-award activities for a diverse portfolio of faculty investigators.
  • Understand and interpret sponsor requirements, monitor deadlines, and develop administrative and financial aspects of proposals.
  • Prepare budgets and budget justifications, administrative proposal documents, and coordinate with external institutions for subrecipient agreements.
  • Oversee award setup, financial management, forecasting, and monthly financial reconciliation.
  • Liaise with internal and external groups on compliance issues related to sponsored agreements.
  • Initiate external agreements with Broad-affiliated institutions and collaborators as needed.
  • Administer salary allocations for lab personnel in adherence to sponsor guidance and institute policy.
  • Draft and maintain PI Other Support documentation in accordance with federal guidance.
  • Coordinate annual institution-wide budget projections with faculty and other administrative groups.
