About the position

As a Senior Graphic Designer for Men's Global Football Apparel at Nike, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our product lines. This position is not just about creating designs; it's about contributing to the overarching vision of Nike Global Football, where sport, design, and culture converge. You will be involved in the development of bespoke collections that cater to game day, training, and lifestyle needs for athletes and fans alike. Your work will be showcased on some of the world's biggest stages, making it essential to bring a high level of passion and creativity to the table. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and building narratives that inspire and influence jersey designs, ensuring that they resonate with our partner teams' identities. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with design, development, and business partners to meticulously record and deliver all project details, from trims to print applications, while considering cost implications. Your responsibilities will also include leading team meetings, influencing cross-functional teams, and presenting design concepts and seasonal initiatives to both internal and external audiences, all while aligning with Nike's best interests. This position requires a dedicated leader who can translate sophisticated insights into authentic narratives and drive design solutions that elevate the future of sport apparel at Nike. You will be expected to foster an inclusive environment, embracing diverse perspectives while empowering athletes and teams to realize their dreams.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and build narratives for jersey designs that reflect partner team identities.
  • Collaborate with design, development, and business partners to ensure project details are accurately recorded and delivered.
  • Lead team meetings and communicate critical information to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Present design concepts and seasonal initiatives to internal and external audiences.
  • Influence teams and contribute to the creative vision of Nike Global Football.
  • Adapt to change and manage multiple competing priorities effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, apparel design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Graphic Design, Color Design, or Product Design.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.
  • Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling.
  • Strong visual and verbal communication skills for effective presentations.
  • Proficient in sketching, illustration, typography, print and pattern, color theory, and layout.
  • Knowledge of apparel product creation processes.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and comfortable with new digital tools.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive environment and embrace diverse perspectives.
