About the position

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer-Proposal, Sales to join our Creative Solutions team, focusing on supporting Strategic Sales Operations. This role is designed for a proactive team player who is excited to engage in a variety of projects on a national level. The position offers a flexible combination of remote and in-office work options, tailored to our current environment, client needs, and the candidate's ability to work independently. The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design and development of proposals, supporting graphics, presentations, and positioning materials from concept to completion. This includes leading strategic graphic design solutions to produce winning proposals, sales materials, and presentations, which encompass long document layouts, PowerPoint presentations, storyboards, covers/dividers, marketing collateral/brochures, illustrations, and interactive PDFs. In this role, you will plan, conceptualize, and design compelling graphics while collaborating with proposal team members and technical staff to enhance messaging. You will be expected to convey complex ideas through smart graphic designs and develop visual concepts that go beyond simple bullet points. Additionally, you will act as a resource for graphic design methods and tools, implementing process improvements and best practices. Mentoring other team members in technical areas will also be part of your responsibilities, sharing your expertise and providing guidance to enhance the overall quality of the team's output.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic graphic design solutions to support the production of winning proposals, sales materials, and presentations.
  • Plan, conceptualize, and design compelling and impactful graphics while collaborating with proposal team members and technical staff.
  • Convey complex ideas with smart graphic designs and develop concepts visually beyond bullet points.
  • Act as a resource for graphic design methods and tools, developing and implementing process improvements and best practices.
  • Mentor other team members in technical areas and provide guidance and support.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related discipline from a four-year accredited College/University, or demonstrated work experience in the A/E/C industry that matches the requirements of the position in lieu of degree.
  • Expert knowledge of procedures, technical concepts, and brand compliance required.
  • At least 6 years of professional graphic design experience; A/E/C and/or Sales experience is a plus.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint; proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience working with additional creative, visual, interactive, and multimedia tools is a plus.
