About the position

The Senior Graphic Designer at Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) is responsible for creating and implementing graphic design solutions that align with the organization's branding and marketing strategies. This role involves collaborating with various teams to produce high-quality print and digital materials, ensuring that all designs meet marketing and operational objectives while upholding PHS's brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality creative solutions for marketing and operational objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to design a wide range of print and digital materials such as brochures, posters, flyers, and web graphics.
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and ensure project execution aligns with their vision.
  • Present design concepts to clients for feedback and approval.
  • Develop and implement marketing automation platform campaigns.
  • Coordinate the creation and implementation of printing/production with internal clients and outside vendors.
  • Select and direct external partners including print vendors and photographers.
  • Integrate and uphold high brand standards across all media types and organization value streams.
  • Design and develop fresh, creative collateral for print and digital applications that engage target markets.
  • Ensure finished work delivers intended messages based on knowledge of the client and its customers.
  • Organize and lead creative assignments from conception to production, including layouts for print collateral and digital media.
  • Promote teamwork and effective relationships within the marketing department and across the organization.
  • Assist fellow Creative Team members with their work as needed.
  • Provide graphic design feedback to junior graphic designers as necessary.
  • Stay current with design, industry, and technology trends and apply knowledge to work.
  • Exhibit technical competence and ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.

Requirements

  • A 4-year college degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.
  • 6-8+ years of professional experience in graphic design or a related field.
  • Strong professional portfolio that includes both print and digital samples.
  • Excellent graphic design, strategic problem-solving, and art direction skills.
  • Effective visual and verbal presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Team player willing to take direction and accept responsibility for meeting objectives.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • High proficiency in design, web, and multimedia software including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of printing procedures, photography, illustration, and communication principles.
  • Familiarity with print, digital, and social media design principles and practices.
  • Video production skills are a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of video production software such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
