About the position

At Mohawk Industries, we are seeking a talented Graphic Designer who will play a crucial role in enhancing our visual communication efforts. The ideal candidate will leverage their artistic skills and basic design principles to create compelling printed and multimedia graphic art projects. This position involves working from the initial concept through to the final printing and technical processes, ensuring that all visual materials align with the company's branding and communication goals. As a Graphic Designer, you will collaborate closely with the Product Design and Marketing teams, as well as other internal stakeholders, to identify project needs and develop comprehensive project plans. Your ability to translate client requirements into multiple creative design options will be essential, allowing for flexibility while adhering to time and budget constraints. You will be responsible for producing high-quality catalogs, brochures, advertisements, and other visual media, following each project from conception to print to guarantee the best possible outcomes. In addition to your design responsibilities, you will be expected to contribute ideas for concept development within a team environment, ensuring that all projects benefit from diverse perspectives. Staying current with design trends and technology will be vital, as you will research and monitor industry developments to enhance the company's image and differentiate our designs from competitors. This role also requires performing other duties as needed, showcasing your adaptability and willingness to support the team in various capacities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Design/Marketing and other internal team members to determine project needs and develop a project plan.
• Produce visual solutions for specific communication needs of the client.
• Translate client needs into multiple creative design options that allow flexibility in achieving project goals.
• Use artistic skills and basic design principles to create aesthetic materials targeted to specific audiences.
• Follow all art projects from conception to print to ensure the production of high-quality visual media.
• Contribute ideas for concept development and refine aspects of all jobs within the department.
• Research and monitor design trends to enhance the Company's image and designs.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree in a related field, preferably in Art, Design, or Marketing.
• 0-2 years of job-specific work experience.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Quark, and Photoshop in both MAC and PC environments.
• Understanding of graphic illustration and art design principles and concepts.
• Preferred experience in project management involving organizing, planning, and executing projects.
