About the position

The Senior Graphic Designer at National Carwash Solutions will play a crucial role in creating engaging graphics that represent the NCS brand. This position involves designing large format signs and custom products for the car wash industry, ensuring adherence to marketing strategies and brand standards. The designer will manage junior designers and oversee projects from conception to completion, collaborating with clients to deliver tailored design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design large format signs and custom arches for a wide customer base.
  • Assist the Creative Director in creating/updating packaging, marketing, and other materials.
  • Create job proofs for custom jobs and work with customers via email on modifying their orders.
  • Ensure all projects are proofread, edited, and completed within stated time estimates.
  • Collaborate with larger clients and major accounts, providing high-quality designs tailored to their specific needs.
  • Develop concepts for a brand based on industry research, including creating logos, color schemes, typography, and other visual elements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of graphic design experience and presentation of a design portfolio required.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles including layout design, grid use, color theory, and typographic skills.
  • Fully proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Bridge.
  • Thorough knowledge of proofreading marks and the rules of English grammar, syntax, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, multi-task, and work under time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Experience working cross-team and synthesizing feedback from product management, engineering, and marketing.
  • Ability to brainstorm and come up with creative, innovative solutions to problems/tasks.
  • Basic to intermediate skill using a DSLR camera to shoot video and photography.
  • Working experience in a manufacturing assembly facility.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Instagram and Facebook.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills (verbal and documentation).
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs within tight deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated.
