About the position

The Senior Graphic Designer at Drexel University plays a pivotal leadership role within the Marketing Communications division, responsible for designing and executing national and international branding and enrollment campaigns. This position emphasizes the importance of the Drexel brand and its experiential education model, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple creative platforms. The Senior Designer will oversee junior staff and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing materials.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of marketing and creative strategies while maintaining consistent brand messaging and tone across all communications.
  • Oversee the strategic creative execution of web development and design at the enterprise level with a focus on enrollment and retention.
  • Execute marketing and creative strategies into specific electronic and print final deliverables, serving as a primary lead on major, complex print production projects.
  • Serve as the primary lead and mentor staff on managing print and production vendors, photographers, videographers, and press checks.
  • Oversee several creative collaboration organizations at the Drexel University enterprise level to investigate emerging trends in creative strategy and execution.
  • Lead regular project development reporting and creative presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations projects specific to their business.
  • Supervise creative staff, including training, development, task management, and evaluations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing or business with a concentration in marketing, design, or other related specialization, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience within a variety of marketing roles.
