About the position

The Senior Graphic Designer at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center will provide advanced professional graphic design services for both digital and print applications. This role involves designing various materials such as print pieces, signage, and branded merchandise, while also supporting fundraising campaigns and educational projects. The designer will ensure brand consistency across all channels and collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Director of Communications and Marketing to prioritize and optimize creative work that aligns with the Center's mission.

Responsibilities

• Serve as art director and designer for digital and print publications, signage, and educational materials.
• Design interpretive signage to enhance the guest experience in gardens and trails.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to meet project deadlines efficiently.
• Assist in tracking project budgets and expenditures.
• Maintain the Center's photo and graphics archives and provide basic photography services.
• Perform other design-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in graphic design and production.
• Demonstrable experience in designing across multiple platforms and substrates under various deadlines.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Wordpress, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.
• Proficiency in basic graphic illustration.

Nice-to-haves
