About the position

The Senior Graphic Designer at 3M plays a crucial role in developing graphic and packaging assets for global brands within the Consumer Business Group. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the execution of brand guidelines and the creation of consumer-facing touchpoints that enhance customer experiences. The designer will lead multiple projects, work closely with production art project managers, packaging engineers, and agency partners, and contribute to the overall design strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop graphic and packaging assets for global brands.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate graphic design development and execution of brand guidelines.
• Prepare packaging artwork files for print production.
• Lead multiple design projects with support from Brand Design Principals and Creative Directors.
• Conduct regular meetings to review design concepts and drive final design insights and solutions.
• Interpret consumer feedback through design/market/technology research to assist in project completion.
• Maintain knowledge of brand and 3M guidelines to ensure accurate implementation in design projects.
• Participate in design activities to learn new skills and apply them to the job.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years of experience in graphic design, specifically in consumer brand packaging.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as MS Office applications.
• Familiar with remote collaboration and cloud-based workflows.
