About the position

The Senior GTM Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS is responsible for designing and implementing strategic migration plans for Microsoft workloads to AWS, ensuring alignment with client objectives and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves owning technical engagements, providing thought leadership in cloud adoption, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop integrated solutions that meet customer needs. The position is part of the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) and focuses on building go-to-market strategies that drive results for customers while fostering innovation and market development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement strategic migration plans for Microsoft workloads to AWS, ensuring alignment with client objectives and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, as well as defining implementation architectures.
• Provide thought leadership in the adoption of .NET applications in the cloud, offering guidance on best practices, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated solutions that leverage AWS services to meet the unique needs of US customers.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to educate clients and internal teams on Microsoft migrations and cloud optimization strategies.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing and Microsoft ecosystems to inform strategic decisions and innovation efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications
• 5+ years management of technical, customer facing resources
• 5+ years of Microsoft technical experience

Nice-to-haves

• History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
• AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
• Computer Science/relevant degree and/or experience highly desired.
