About the position

The Senior Hardware Development Engineer will be responsible for designing and operating a new segment of accelerated servers for Amazon's AWS fleet. This role involves managing the development of individual boards, integrating components, and ensuring high-quality designs that meet customer requirements. The engineer will work closely with various teams to root cause failures and implement corrective actions, ultimately enhancing the performance and reliability of the server fleet.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design and development of a new segment of accelerated servers.
• Work closely with customers to understand their technical needs and business goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to architect solutions for server deployment at scale.
• Oversee the fleet of servers post-launch, monitoring quality and customer satisfaction.
• Interface with vendors and ODM/JDM design teams to develop and manufacture products at scale.

Requirements

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
• Experience with the project management of technical projects.
