Raytheon is seeking a Systems Hardware Engineer to work as part of a team that supports satellite communication (SATCOM) activities, in addition to company-wide systems engineering support. This position is a part of an integral 24/7 Operations environment. Availability for non-scheduled call-ins is required. The job assignment also requires working a rotating day/night shift schedule, assigned based on the adaptable needs of the team. Location: Guam. Daily activities may include but are not limited to: Discrepancy report work off and problem resolution, O&M training/mentoring, trending analysis, procedure development, data collection, fault isolation, and performing real-time manual actions to restore system capabilities. The engineer will be responsible for contributing to the development of new creative and complex concepts that will provide value to the customer. Reporting and documenting anomalous performance and interacting with other team members to validate operational requirements performance is essential. The role also involves cross-training in other operational positions as assigned and assisting with the training of other personnel on the contract team. Support for test activities and/or operational requirements as necessary is expected, along with the ability to lift 50 lbs. safely and work in elevated heights. Problem-solving in time-critical situations is a key aspect of this position.
