About the position

The Senior Hardware Engineer will be a key technical contributor to the DC Hardware Development team at Teradyne, focusing on the design and implementation of high power and precision ATE instrumentation. This role involves driving the concept, design, prototyping, and release to production of various ATE instruments, including power supplies and high-speed digital components for semiconductor applications.

Responsibilities

• Design complex circuits with analog, digital, and power components.
• Participate in technical teams to ensure efficient design processes from analysis to product release.
• Interface with cross-functional teams across various engineering disciplines and external stakeholders.
• Articulate design trade-offs to navigate complex design challenges.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers.
• Communicate effectively at all levels, from detailed circuit analysis to high-level product design discussions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven track record of completing multiple product design cycles from concept to high volume production.
• BSEE or MSEE or equivalent experience.
• Experience with new product development involving complex designs and PCBs.
• Proficiency in circuit simulation and control loop theory.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with low noise switching power supply design.
• Knowledge of high-speed signal integrity and power integrity.
• Familiarity with high-speed protocols (PCIe), DDRx memory, and clocking.
• Experience in statistical process control and development of calibration programs using C/C+.
• Understanding of the ATE industry and high-performance instrumentation design.
