About the position

The Senior Hardware Engineer will provide expertise in analyzing and designing complex hardware systems, including network design and hardware architecture. This role involves procuring equipment, performing acceptance testing, and providing maintenance support. The engineer will also be responsible for deploying and implementing hardware both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS).

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex hardware systems and design specifications.
• Procure and perform acceptance testing on hardware equipment.
• Provide preventative and remedial hardware maintenance support.
• Deploy, install, and implement hardware in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Prepare specifications for hardware based on system requirements.
• Conduct site surveys and document current network configurations.
• Organize and direct hardware installations across multiple sites.
• Configure and document configurations of computers and networking devices.
• Prepare installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Train site personnel in the proper use of hardware.
• Analyze operational data to identify failure modes and recommend improvements.
• Direct the work of other hardware engineers on various projects.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Twenty (20) years of experience analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions.
• Five (5) years of additional hardware engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

• Experience with SIGINT solutions and hardware specifications.
• Familiarity with hardware installation and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of network configuration and site-specific requirements.
