About the position

The Senior Hardware Engineer at ASRC Federal is responsible for planning, developing, delivering, and deploying configuration-managed updates to Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) systems. The role focuses on ensuring mission performance and operational availability while enhancing cybersecurity. The engineer will design and implement hardware systems, define operational requirements, and provide detailed information for hardware solution selection and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, deliver, and deploy configuration managed updates to GMASS systems.
  • Perform design and implementation of hardware systems integrating diverse and complex components.
  • Define operational requirements including integration with other systems or components.
  • Research and model the hardware system's architecture and configuration.
  • Investigate alternatives, conduct cost analysis and estimation, and perform decision analysis.
  • Provide detailed information for selection and implementation of hardware solutions.

Requirements

  • Technical experience and knowledge of developing, implementing, and supporting hardware mission systems.
  • Bachelor's degree with five (5) years or more experience; Master's degree with three (3) years or more experience; PhD with 0 years related experience.
  • Active Secret clearance required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience and knowledge of the Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) System.
  • Experience with the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Characterization Systems (PARCS) and their architectures.
