About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to lead our hardware design projects and contribute to our mission of excellence. The products you will be working on include high tech measurement technology found in labs across the country. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of analog, digital, and mixed-signal hardware systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary standards and performance metrics. Your responsibilities will also include conducting schematic design, PCB layout, and simulation for complex hardware systems. You will perform hardware testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of the products. As a senior engineer, you will mentor and guide junior engineers, providing them with technical expertise and support to help them grow in their roles. Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies will be crucial to drive innovation within the team and the projects you undertake.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of analog, digital, and mixed-signal hardware systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct schematic design, PCB layout, and simulation for complex hardware systems.
  • Perform hardware testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and support.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in hardware design, with a focus on analog, digital, and mixed-signal systems.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, MentorGraphics, OrCAD).
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility.
  • Experience with hardware testing and validation using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with FPGA and microcontroller-based designs.
  • Knowledge of high-speed design principles.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
