About the position

TP-Link Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Board-Level Hardware Design Engineer to join our systems engineering team. This role involves supporting consumer network and electronic products, conducting needs analysis, and leading the design and development of innovative hardware solutions. The engineer will work on various modules, including low-power supply and network switching modules, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to product direction.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of new product ideas by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Provide comprehensive feasibility assessment reports and technical solutions to meet product requirements.
• Lead the design and development of complex hardware systems, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines.
• Complete architecture design, schematic design, key component selection, and BOM preparation for embedded hardware.
• Collaborate with the PCB design department to assist in completing PCB layouts and wiring.
• Conduct hardware testing for modules or complete versions, producing detailed test reports and documentation.
• Follow up on production processes, providing technical guidance and support to manufacturing teams.
• Ensure product compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements by preparing necessary documentation.
• Continuously optimize existing products by enhancing functionality and performance.
• Lead and guide junior engineers in hardware design and development, providing mentorship and support.
• Participate in design reviews and cross-functional meetings, offering insights to improve product designs.
• Document design processes, decisions, and changes thoroughly.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in hardware design and development, with at least 3 years in a senior-level position.
• Extensive knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles.
• Proficient with schematic capture, layout design, and review.
• Strong experience with voltage regulators, LDOs, and switching power supply application design.
• Proven expertise in integrating high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces, such as PCIe, SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Experience in Wi-Fi/IOT platform hardware system design and system integration, or networking equipment.
• Solid background in hardware testing and validation, with the ability to produce detailed test reports.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards.

• Experience with high-speed digital or RF communications circuit design.
