About the position

V2X is seeking a Senior Hardware Quality Engineer (HQE) to ensure that products and services meet quality standards and customer expectations. The HQE will coordinate quality management activities, monitor performance, implement corrective actions, and provide training to enhance quality across the organization. This role requires interaction with various stakeholders to maintain compliance with contractual provisions and quality management systems, particularly AS9100.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to meet quality standards and ensure products/services are fit for their intended purpose.
• Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system.
• Produce data and reports on performance against set standards.
• Implement corrective actions and chart paths for improvement.
• Interact with personnel at all levels, including customers and suppliers, to ensure the quality system functions properly.
• Advise on changes in quality system implementation and provide training, tools, and techniques to enhance quality.
• Plan, organize, control, and execute quality tasks required under the contract.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of applicable Quality Assurance/Engineering or related experience.
• Flexibility to support multiple areas involving diverse technologies and processes.
• Ability to support rapid-paced, dynamic programs.
• Strong teaming skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with problem resolution and addressing challenging customer specifications.
• Experience with consistent customer interaction.
• Experience in Six Sigma and/or other process improvement methodologies.
• Experience with AS9100 Quality systems and audits.
• Proven analytical skills in root-cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions.
• Ability to lead and motivate others toward continuous improvement.

Nice-to-haves

• Technical expertise in military mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic devices.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
