About the position

The Senior Hardware/Software Engineer (Gaming Technologies) position at Trideum Corporation is a full-time role located at the TPO-STE, National Simulation Center in Fort Leavenworth, KS. This position is integral to supporting the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations task order under the MTCCS II IDIQ. The successful candidate will serve as the lead engineer, coordinating activities to meet contract deliverables while integrating and managing the capabilities of engineers to accomplish assigned tasks. In this role, the engineer will perform software analysis, program scripting, testing, debugging, and simulation integration. This includes recommending modifications to existing Virtual and Gaming designs, as well as AR Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) hardware and software integration. The engineer will also be responsible for ensuring the security and organization of government-owned digital products to prevent degradation or loss. Additionally, the role requires writing documentation that provides end users with the necessary knowledge to effectively integrate hardware and software, maximizing the use of internally built products.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead to coordinate activities to satisfy contract deliverables
  • Integrate and manage the capabilities of engineers to accomplish tasks to meet assigned deliverables
  • Perform software analysis program scripting, testing, debugging, and simulation integration
  • Recommend modifications of existing Virtual and Gaming design, AR VR, and MR hardware and software integration
  • Ensure that government-owned digital products are secured and organized to prevent degradation or loss
  • Write documentation that provides the end user the knowledge to integrate hardware and software.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in technical disciplines such as engineering, mathematics, statistics, game development, and related computer sciences
  • 4 years of experience leading technical teams in capability development, verification, validation and accreditation, software development, and computer programming simulation integration
  • 4 years of experience in hardware and software standards and protocols, applying architectures to real-world requirements, and understanding communications systems and networks
  • 4 years of experience modifying existing gaming software, game design, action-script programming, and developing special-purpose software components
  • Experience in implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining engine and gameplay code
  • Experience in military doctrine and training management and capability development preferred
  • Knowledge of network services such as Play Station Network (PSN), Xbox Live, or Steam
  • Proficiency in programming languages including C++, MFC, C#, Python, Perl, Visual Basic, JAVA, XML, and database programming
  • United States Citizen
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
