Responsibilities

  • Define project goals and requirements for optical inspection and metrology systems.
  • Develop solution architecture in collaboration with other experts.
  • Work with program management to create project plans and budgets.
  • Lead projects to completion while ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including customers, marketing, supply chain, production, field service, and applications engineering.
  • Document work thoroughly and maintain attention to detail.

Requirements

  • MS/Ph.D. degree in optical engineering, physics, electrical engineering, or other relevant disciplines preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in high precision optical or semiconductor capital instruments, or related experience.
  • Strong skills in ideation, brainstorming, prototyping, and developing complex optical tools.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to develop system-level requirements and clear project goals.
  • Strong evaluation and analytical skills to identify root requirements and causes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using MATLAB, LabVIEW, and ZEMAX.
  • Knowledge in optical inspection, metrology, spectroscopy, ellipsometry, and reflectometry.
  • Ability to independently design and perform design of experiments related to optical instrumentation.
