Senior Hardware Test Engineer

About the position

The Senior Hardware Test Engineer will be part of the Test Solutions Group at NVIDIA, focusing on developing manufacturing test solutions for Datacenter and Enterprise products. This role involves collaboration with hardware design teams to support the next generation of GPU and CPU based server products, ensuring high performance and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Define manufacturing hardware test solutions applicable across Board and System product segments.
• Develop test strategies for new product features, including the design and qualification of test fixtures and equipment.
• Write product architecture specifications for new designs and define system-level requirements for server products.
• Collaborate with partners to debug Board and System level issues, including hardware design and software development.
• Investigate and introduce new manufacturing test technology to improve production efficiency.
• Solve deeper server system technical design issues at every level.
• Work with domain expert teams to optimize manufacturing solutions for high-performance servers.
• Debug complex hardware and software issues during build phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of proven experience in system-level design and integration of server products from concept to deployment.
• Solid understanding of x86 server architecture, PCIe, DDR, Infiniband, and high-speed interconnects.
• Basic understanding of BMC architecture, I2C, power management, and system telemetry controls.
• Familiarity with Linux OS and command line experience.
• Experience with PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 technical interface challenges.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
