About the position

As a Senior Hardware Verification Engineer at Teradyne, you will play a crucial role in the Hardware Verification Team within the Integrated Systems Test Group. This team is dedicated to ensuring that system components meet design specifications before they are shipped to customers. Your work will directly impact the quality and reliability of our products, which include HDD, SSD, and SLT test platforms. We are looking for a motivated and energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rewarding environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing test processes for new products, which includes creating test strategies, designing test PCBA and fixtures, and developing test software. You will also be involved in defect investigation and characterization using statistical process control, as well as developing system-level self-diagnostics for our testers. This role requires collaboration with a global workforce, and you may need to travel to production sites to support our test processes. Your expertise will be essential in facilitating design verification activities and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Participating on the extended design team as the authority on HW test methodology
  • Developing test processes for new products including: the test strategy, test PCBA and fixture design, test software development, deployment, training, and support
  • Defect investigation & characterization using statistical process control
  • Develop system level self-diagnostics for our testers including collecting requirements, architecting solutions, verifying the features, and deploying to internal and external customers
  • Prototype bring up and facilitating design verification activities
  • Collaboration with a global workforce which includes travel to production sites as required to support our test processes

Requirements

  • Experience with hardware verification and test development during NPI
  • Proficient in C/C++, C#, Java, Python programming languages
  • Programming experience with Win Forms, WPF and .NET
  • Experience with communication protocols including: SPI, UART, I2C, JTAG, USB, PCIE and Ethernet
  • Experience with MAP SLT, HDD and SSD testing methodology
  • Linux basics and working knowledge of embedded systems and associated programming
  • Ability to work on multi-discipline teams as well as work independently
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • BS or higher degree in EE or related field
  • 12+ year industry experience
