About the position

The Senior HCM and Security Consultant at Workday is responsible for delivering consulting services to customers through targeted microconsulting engagements. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor, assisting customers with configuration, troubleshooting, and demonstrating Workday solutions. The consultant will leverage their expertise to help customers maximize their investment in Workday by providing guidance, conducting presentations, and driving feature adoption. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting research to understand customer questions and related Workday concepts.
  • Delivering small scope consulting in response to customer requests, providing configuration guidance and demonstrations.
  • Troubleshooting product configuration to resolve issues and optimize product setup for customer needs.
  • Communicating effectively with customers to articulate the value of Workday solutions.
  • Creating and delivering presentations on how to use Workday features to achieve business goals.
  • Providing one-on-one consulting guidance to accelerate customer feature adoption.
  • Reviewing customer tenants to identify adoption opportunities.
  • Maintaining product expertise and Workday certifications, staying updated with industry practices.
  • Driving the creation of new programs to enhance customer feature adoption.
  • Conducting appointment-based consulting engagements during Office Hours.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of functional experience in HCM and Security in Workday or similar software.
  • 5+ years of IT implementation experience.
  • 2+ years of software consulting experience.
  • Workday certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to understand complex technical issues and facilitate decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to gain a thorough understanding of Workday concepts as new features are released.
  • Ability to distill complex concepts into understandable presentations for customers.
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple engagements simultaneously.
