About the position

The Senior Healthcare Research Analyst at FAIR Health is a key member of a collaborative custom analytics team, responsible for translating business requirements into data-driven deliverables and analyses. This role involves working with various healthcare data sources to develop actionable insights and reports that inform clients in the healthcare sector, including payors, government agencies, and hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to design and develop solutions for complex healthcare analyses.
• Collaborate with the FAIR Health team to structure and present client results and analyses.
• Analyze healthcare claims data to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Utilize various healthcare and statistical methodologies to create reports and analytics.
• Evaluate and ensure the validity and accuracy of data for reporting results.
• Adhere to information security policies and HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

• Masters degree or higher in Statistics, Analytics or Public Health with a strong quantitative emphasis.
• Minimum of 15 years experience, with 5+ years working with healthcare data.
• Experience in advanced statistical modeling, including generalized linear models.
• Strong working knowledge of healthcare coding (CPT, ICD, HCPCS, revenue codes, DRG).
• Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills and in-depth data research capabilities.
• Strong understanding of the current healthcare market dynamics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
