About the position

The Senior HR Administrator (Payroll + HRIS + Benefits) is a temporary, part-time role focused on supporting the People & Culture Department at Managed Solution. This position will leverage extensive knowledge in HR, payroll, and benefits administration to ensure smooth operations during a departmental leave. The role involves executing various functions related to payroll processing, benefits management, compliance, and employee relations, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Paylocity for multi-state payroll processing, including bi-weekly payrolls and manual checks.
  • Review employee timesheets for accuracy and process correction requests.
  • Administer the HR Information System (Paylocity) and provide end-user support.
  • Manage Open Enrollment and benefits tasks for new hires and qualifying life events.
  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding processes, including new hire training and offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate employee relations issues and support conflict resolution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience at the Generalist level or higher, with 3+ years in benefits and payroll administration.
  • Strong proficiency in California employment laws and regulations.
  • SHRM/HRCI certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP or higher) or payroll professional certification preferred.
  • Experience with reporting/compliance tasks in a company with over 100 employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Paylocity and Ease online enrollment tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Office365, Outlook, Excel, Word, Forms, SharePoint, and Teams.
