About the position

The Senior HR Generalist at Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources Team in the implementation and deployment of HR policies, programs, and initiatives. This position is designed to enhance the organization's capability by ensuring that HR practices align with the company's strategic goals. The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for a variety of functions, including employment, compensation, employee relations, training, talent acquisition, and development. The role requires a proactive approach to improving work practices and employee selection processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational goals. In this position, the Senior HR Generalist will conduct the recruiting process, which includes interviewing and selecting candidates while ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and guidelines. Collaboration with HR Services on transactional HR matters is essential, as is leading human resources initiatives through Eaton Business System (EBS) and Inclusion Employee Resource Groups (IERGs). The Senior HR Generalist will partner with leaders to assess talent needs and champion talent acquisition, ensuring that positions are filled promptly with the best candidates. This includes driving proactive recruiting strategies, establishing external partnerships, and enhancing brand recognition initiatives. Additionally, the Senior HR Generalist will conduct training sessions as needed, drive HR functional excellence through the deployment of Eaton programs, and provide counsel and support to resolve interpersonal conflicts and employee relations issues. The role also involves working closely with supervisors and managers on retention, performance management, and engagement strategies. The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for generating reports, analyzing data, and providing insights to the Human Resources Manager, as well as offering support for payroll issues when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Support the site Human Resources Team in deploying HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Conduct recruiting processes including interviews and selection, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with HR Services on all transactional HR matters.
  • Lead human resources initiatives through EBS and IERGs initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to assess talent needs and champion talent acquisition.
  • Drive proactive recruiting and talent strategies, including external partnerships and university relations.
  • Conduct general or specific training sessions as needed.
  • Drive HR functional excellence through deployment of Eaton programs.
  • Provide counsel and support to resolve interpersonal conflicts and employee relations issues.
  • Work with supervisors/managers on retention, performance management, and engagement strategies.
  • Run and create reports, analyze information, and provide data for the Human Resources Manager.
  • Provide additional support for payroll issues when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Human Resources.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 or more years' experience in Human Resources.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly desired.
