About the position

As a Senior HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in managing various human resources functions within the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include organizing and conducting new hire orientations, ensuring that new employees are welcomed and integrated into the company culture effectively. You will also be the first point of contact for benefit inquiries, assisting employees with enrollments, status changes, and addressing any general questions they may have regarding their benefits. Additionally, you will manage the post-offer through new hire processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees into their roles. Your role will also involve assisting with change management and communication strategies, particularly during times of organizational change. You will support the termination process, including offboarding and conducting exit interviews to gather valuable feedback from departing employees. Maintaining employee e-files is another critical aspect of your job, where you will process new hires, status changes, and terminations accurately and efficiently. You will assist with performance management processes, including evaluations for new hires, ensuring that performance standards are met and that employees receive constructive feedback. Project work will be a part of your responsibilities, which may include procedure documentation, employee recognition initiatives, and job description reviews. Staying updated on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law will be essential to your success in this role. Lastly, you will be responsible for processing payroll for all employees on a biweekly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Organizing and conducting new hire orientation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field is strongly preferred
  • 5+ years' experience as an HR professional, preferably at the Generalist level
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification strongly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office and ability to learn and use various software programs; experience with Paylocity HRIS a plus
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and follow-through
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle a diversity of tasks, while helping the team meet multiple deadlines
