About the position

Relic is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong bias for action. This role is ideal for a Generalist who is eager to collaborate with other People Team stakeholders and partner directly with client groups. The Senior HR Generalist will join the HRBP team and serve as an advisor to employees and front-line managers on all HR-related topics. The successful candidate will excel at building strong relationships and will utilize excellent communication skills to influence and drive tasks to completion. In this position, the Senior HR Generalist will support the General & Administrative (G&A) and Marketing organizations within the United States. Reporting to the Director, HRBP - G&A and Marketing, the role will balance business unit goals with overall HR deliverables. The primary responsibilities include acting as the main HR support for G&A and Marketing Relics and front-line managers in key HR lifecycle processes such as recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, training & development, policy & process design/implementation, compliance, and other ad hoc HR projects. The Senior HR Generalist will advise managers and employees on all aspects of the performance management process, analyze performance issues, and provide guidance on appropriate solutions while considering internal policies and local laws. They will also conduct investigations, resolve employee relations issues, and ensure that the internal database is updated with all investigations and outcomes in a timely manner. Additionally, the role involves advising on job leveling, role descriptions, and participating in interview panels when required. The Senior HR Generalist will also conduct exit interviews, summarize trends, and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR support for G&A and Marketing Relics and front-line managers in key HR lifecycle processes.
  • Advise managers and employees on all aspects of the performance management process.
  • Analyze performance issues and provide guidance on appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Ensure internal database is kept up to date with all investigations and outcomes.
  • Advise on job leveling, role descriptions, and participate in interview panels.
  • Address and resolve open inquiries initiated by employees and managers.
  • Conduct exit interviews and summarize trends for reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze data and trends to recommend plans to improve employee experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as an HR generalist or in other relevant HR roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and best practices.
  • Prior performance management and employee relations experience.
  • Experience coaching, influencing, and building rapport with front-line managers and employees.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience analyzing data, diagnosing issues, and making business recommendations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and good judgment in decision-making.
  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to time management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change, able to pivot quickly.
  • Ability to operate successfully with loosely defined processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in Human Resources, business, or a related area.
  • HR experience within a global SaaS organization.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification.
  • Experience using G-Suite, Workday, Culture Amp, Eqtble.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization across multiple time zones.
