About the position

The Senior HR Generalist position is designed to provide a comprehensive range of HR support while leading various HR initiatives that align with the company's business objectives and strategic goals. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR generalist or a specialist looking to transition into a generalist role. The Senior HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in enhancing the employee experience through effective onboarding processes, performance management, and compliance with industry regulations. In this position, the Senior HR Generalist will develop and implement a 'concierge' model for onboarding new employees, which includes both company orientation and job-specific orientation. This model aims to ensure that new hires feel welcomed and well-prepared to start their roles. Additionally, the Senior HR Generalist will manage the performance review process, ensuring that it is conducted fairly and effectively across the organization. The role also involves reviewing industry accreditation and compliance regulations to ensure that HR practices meet current requirements. The Senior HR Generalist will support field operations in various areas, including employee relations and conflict management, recognition and development programs, job descriptions, exit interviews, and analysis, as well as acquisition integration. Other HR initiatives or special projects may be assigned as needed, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a 'concierge' model for onboarding new employees, including company orientation and job orientation.
  • Manage the performance review process.
  • Review industry accreditation and compliance regulations to ensure HR practices meet current requirements.
  • Update HR policies and procedures regularly.
  • Support field operations with employee relations and conflict management.
  • Facilitate recognition and development programs.
  • Create and maintain job descriptions.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze results.
  • Assist with acquisition integration.
  • Lead other HR initiatives or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5 years of HR Generalist or specialist experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Working knowledge of HR laws, practices, policies, and models.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with an appropriate level of urgency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication based on organization level.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on service to support branches.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and excellent working knowledge of HR systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in HR or a related field.
  • Certificate in HR (PHR, SPHR, or university certification).
