About the position

Club Car is a leading global manufacturer of quality premium golf carts and other low-speed vehicles and related aftermarket parts and services. The Senior HR Manager serves as the HR leader for Club Car's manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, and logistics groups, accountable for all HR and people-related operations performed in support of those groups. This role is critical in ensuring that the HR strategies align with the operational goals of the organization, particularly in the Augusta area sites. The Senior HR Manager will engage in both strategic and tactical HR functions, including organizational development, talent management, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. In this position, the Senior HR Manager will actively partner with the leadership team to understand, plan, execute, and monitor the HR talent strategy as it applies to both current and future needs. This includes providing support and guidance to HR business partners, recruiters, and administrative staff on all HR matters. The role also involves administering sensitive tasks such as investigations, terminations, and pay disputes, ensuring that all actions are compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws. The Senior HR Manager will oversee the talent acquisition process, collaborating with the recruiting team to craft job descriptions, screen applicants, and advise on compensation. Additionally, they will promote and support performance management, employee engagement, and learning and development programs, tracking and reporting on performance metrics. The role requires a hands-on approach, with daily interactions with employees and leadership, making it essential for the HR Manager to be physically present and involved in the organization. Overall, this position is designed for a seasoned HR professional who can navigate the complexities of a large organization while fostering a positive work environment and driving HR initiatives that support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Actively partner with leadership team to understand, plan, execute, and monitor the HR talent strategy as applies to both current and future needs
  • Provide support and guidance to HR business partners, recruiters, and admins covering respective areas on all matters related to HR
  • Administer and execute tasks in sensitive circumstances, e.g., investigations, terminations, pay disputes, policy infringement, terminations etc. Oversee and/or participate in all disciplinary meetings
  • Support strategic elements of the talent acquisition and management process - in partnership with Club Car's recruiting team - including the crafting of job descriptions in alignment with priorities, screening of applicants, review of applicants against required skills and competencies, and advising on offered compensation
  • Promote and support the performance management, employee engagement, and learning & development programs for respective areas, including tracking and reporting performance, supporting managers during annual reviews, and providing unbiased advisory to the leadership team
  • Gathers and analyzes data for reporting on relevant people-related data in support of the business
  • Act as primary liaison with contract labor vendor ensuring close cooperation and coordination on staffing Operations
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommends policy and practice changes to remain in compliance with regulatory changes and leverage innovative technologies
  • Is accountable for rewards program coordination and/or administration including but not limited to annual merit increase, off-cycle reviews, and various benefits programs, in partnership with Club Car's Manager of Benefits & Compensation
  • Handles administrative and transactional employee life cycle including pre-onboarding, onboarding, termination, and data maintenance in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Involved in general HR program/policy development, administration, and compliance to drive continuous improvement in HR areas
  • Provide advice on all matters to Club Car's Chief HR Officer
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, legal, or related field required
  • 8+ years of experiences as a HR Business Partner
  • A minimum of 4 years of people management within Human Resources
  • Experience working at a large ($1B+) organization
  • SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certification highly preferred
  • Proven track record of demonstrated excellence across a range of HR functional skills, with a focus on people development and employee communications
  • Knowledgeable of HR systems and tools; proficient with Microsoft Office suite and related software
  • Capable of working in a production environment that is fast-paced, self-directed, and changing
  • Ability to relate and effectively communicate with hourly workforce
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
