About the position

The Senior HR Manager at Spin Master is a pivotal role responsible for developing and delivering the people strategy for assigned organizations and businesses within the company. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with business leaders to create and implement effective people strategies that align with the company's goals. The Senior HR Manager will primarily support Business Leaders at or below the Senior Vice President (SVP) level, with a focus on North America, and will typically oversee a workforce of 200 to 300 employees across various business units. In this role, the Senior HR Manager will engage in organizational design by interpreting business needs and people priorities, ensuring that the organizational structure supports the strategic objectives of the company. They will partner with HR Center of Excellence leads to conduct organizational diagnostics, interpreting data related to talent management processes such as attrition, engagement survey results, and compensation patterns. This analysis will inform recommendations for talent needs and risks, fostering a collaborative approach to problem-solving with Business Leaders. The Senior HR Manager will also be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive people plan, identifying gaps in current strategies, and facilitating talent movement plans in partnership with Business Leaders. Leadership and team performance will be a key focus, as the Senior HR Manager will assess data and present insights on leadership effectiveness, coaching managers to foster an inclusive environment and drive organizational change. Additionally, the role requires a solid understanding of employee relations and compliance, with the ability to navigate relevant labor legislation and resolve employee relations issues effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, enabling them to address complex challenges and drive positive outcomes within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the people strategy for assigned organizations/businesses.
  • Collaborate with Business Leaders to interpret business needs and people priorities.
  • Monitor, execute, and evolve organizational design in partnership with Business Leaders.
  • Conduct organizational diagnostics and present recommendations to Business Leaders.
  • Interpret talent management data and identify solutions collaboratively with Business Leaders.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive people plan for assigned organizations/businesses.
  • Facilitate talent movement plans in partnership with Business Leaders.
  • Assess leadership effectiveness and present insights and recommendations.
  • Coach managers and leaders to facilitate organizational change and model inclusivity.
  • Resolve employee relations issues and ensure compliance with labor legislation.

Requirements

  • PHR, SPHR, or CHRP certifications are an asset.
  • Solid domain knowledge in HR disciplines including Organizational Design & Effectiveness, Employee Relations, and Compensation.
  • Strong business acumen to provide effective HR support to business leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing talent acquisition and management strategies.
