About the position

The Senior Project Manager at Humana is responsible for managing all aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. This role involves handling moderately complex to complex issues, requiring a thorough analysis of various factors. The Senior Project Manager will design, communicate, and implement operational plans for projects, monitor progress, and take necessary actions to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. In this position, the Senior Project Manager will identify, develop, and gather the necessary resources to complete projects. This includes preparing designs and work specifications, developing project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, as well as selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors. Effective communication with other operational areas is crucial to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. The role also involves conducting meetings and preparing reports to communicate project status, setting priorities, allocating tasks, and coordinating project staff to meet targets and milestones. The Senior Project Manager will begin to influence departmental strategy and will be expected to make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding the technical approach for project components. This position allows for considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments, with work performed without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Design, communicate, and implement operational plans for projects.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against the project plan.
  • Resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Identify, develop, and gather resources necessary for project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 or more years of HR project management experience.
  • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.
