About the position
The Sr. HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Foundational Data Services (FDS) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's HR strategy and goals. This position involves partnering with senior leaders to drive talent management, organizational design, and workforce planning initiatives, while leveraging data-driven insights to influence business decisions. The HRBP will work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on modernization and migrations in cloud technology, and will collaborate with various HR teams to deliver impactful solutions and support cross-company initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Set HR strategy and goals, integrating Amazon/AWS-wide priorities.
- Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, skills assessment and development, and other initiatives to optimize for business objectives.
- Provide impactful coaching to guide business leaders and senior managers.
- Leverage data-driven analysis to influence business partners with compelling recommendations.
- Partner with global HR teams to support business unit needs and contribute to global HR initiatives.
- Lead HR projects and key initiatives in collaboration with peers across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in Human Resources or MBA
- Experience in tech and/or working with software engineering teams
- Experience with organization design and change management
- Experience in executive coaching
