About the position

The Senior HRIS Workday Functional Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the execution of system setup and workflows within Workday. This position involves collaborating with HR subject matter experts, IT partners, and third parties to document business requirements and identify opportunities for automation and standardization. The analyst will ensure that Workday configurations meet functional business objectives and support global data integrity management.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert on Workday, focusing on business process configuration, security, and administration.
  • Participate in meetings to determine business needs and conduct feasibility studies of requirements.
  • Conduct continuous research on Workday applications' functionality and features.
  • Participate in Fit/Gap Analysis to identify system improvements.
  • Prepare mass uploads for application data changes and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Provide application support, including incident triage and bug research.
  • Support global data integrity management and identify system data issues.
  • Prepare test scripts and support user testing during new system functionality rollouts.
  • Participate in post-implementation evaluations for continuous process improvement.
  • Review system audit reports and resolve moderately complex production issues.
  • Create and support service requests with Workday vendors to resolve functionality issues.
  • Coordinate and communicate on system events such as maintenance and changes in functionality.
  • Collaborate with global HR/HRIS team members to ensure consistent system usage across regions.
  • Ensure processes meet SOX control compliance.

Requirements

  • Exposure to Workday configurations and integrations (e.g., EIBs, Cloud Connect, Report Writer, Calculated Fields).
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Visio.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management concepts and ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including data analysis.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with technical and functional end-users.
  • Experience in process improvement and ability to standardize and optimize processes.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to learn new systems.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of functional HR experience.
  • Experience with Workday Recruiting, Learning, and Talent Management.
  • Workday PRO certification highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems beyond Workday.
