About the position

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr.HRBP) at MHI RJ Aviation Inc. plays a pivotal role in enhancing HR infrastructure and processes. This position combines generalist responsibilities with a focus on projects and process improvement, ensuring effective employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and compliance with HR policies. The Sr.HRBP will analyze HR metrics, develop comprehensive policies, and deliver training to leaders, all while maintaining confidentiality and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on all HRBP/Generalist expectations with a focus on building repeatable processes, SOPs, and policies.
  • Lead employee engagement efforts including roundtables, new hire orientation, and stay/exit interviews.
  • Maintain contact with the shared services center for HR activities such as payroll and benefits administration.
  • Assist in building and maintaining an employee-friendly culture while holding team members accountable for performance expectations.
  • Drive and lead recurring HR activities including salary recommendations and performance management.
  • Research and respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR programs and policies.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and best practices in HR activities.
  • Coach and influence leaders on HR matters.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures; maintain the employee handbook.
  • Coordinate training and educational activities for leaders as needed.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts for both hourly and salaried positions.
  • Provide employee relations counseling, including coaching and corrective action administration.
  • Attend staff meetings and other operational meetings as required.
  • Evaluate departmental reports and recommend new approaches for efficiency improvements.
  • Support and partner with EHS and Occupational Health teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional and progressive experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field, or 10+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer service mindset with a focus on improving HR products and services.
  • Strong investigative and documentation skills.
  • Approachable with high standards for maintaining positive employee relations.
  • M.S. Degree in Business, Psychology, or HR or a B.S. degree with SPHR preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and time collection systems; Success Factors and Kronos are a plus.
  • Strong Generalist experience in compliance-heavy environments such as manufacturing or aviation preferred.
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is strongly preferred.
