About the position

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and benefits administration. This role involves developing HR programs, maintaining personnel records, and ensuring compliance with policies. The individual will also support the VP of Human Resources and manage the department in their absence, while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for human resource activities such as staffing, recruiting, compensation, employee relations, benefits and payroll.
  • Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications.
  • Develop & maintain relationships with service providers, HR professionals, Universities, and recruitment sources. Will represent ATC at various meetings and Job Fairs.
  • Maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems. Complete salary survey questionnaires.
  • Directs the maintenance of personnel records and data systems.
  • Act as the back-up to administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
  • Recommend, develop, and coordinate training and development courses.
  • Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation to managers.
  • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
  • Recommend, develop, and maintain human resource databases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
  • Recommend and participate in the development of operating policy and procedural improvements.
  • Prepare Annual Affirmative Action, EEO/VETS, ACA and other reporting as needed.
  • Work closely with Retail Banking Administration to aid in retention and strategic staffing initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within HR operations.

Requirements

  • 4-Year College degree/certification in Human Resources, business, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, written and analytical skills.
  • Strong PC Skills (Spreadsheet and Word Processing).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills, and a team orientation.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and under deadlines, and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize conflicting demands.
