About the position

The Senior Human Resources Generalist at Regal Rexnord will play a pivotal role in supporting the Thomson Division, which is a significant contributor to the company's overall success, employing approximately 1,500 global associates and generating $400 million in revenue. This position is based in Fremont, California, and is integral to fostering a positive work environment by applying business knowledge, human resources practices, and employee relations expertise. The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR support and advice, ensuring that the plant operates smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the successful candidate will partner with management to advise and counsel on personnel issues, providing facility supervision on employee relations matters such as investigations, conflict resolution, and communication regarding employee inquiries. The HR Generalist will ensure compliance with various regulations, including ADA, FMLA, and EEOC, while staying updated on changes in federal, state, and case law that impact HR practices. Additionally, the role involves responding to general employee inquiries and supporting day-to-day HR needs, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures aimed at continuous improvement. The HR Generalist will also be responsible for maintaining HRIS integrity, preparing and maintaining records for personnel transactions, and actively improving associate engagement through recognition programs and employee events. This position will require collaboration with managers to establish training and development opportunities, act as a liaison for Workers' Compensation claims, coordinate temporary staffing needs, and conduct new employee orientations. Furthermore, the HR Generalist will manage internal company communications, including bulletin boards and newsletters, and perform other duties as assigned to support the HR function effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with management to advise and counsel on personnel issues.
  • Provide facility supervision on employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, and communication regarding employee inquiries.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc., and stay current on labor law updates.
  • Respond to general employee inquiries and support day-to-day HR needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and maintain records for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data.
  • Maintain HRIS integrity.
  • Actively improve associate engagement through recognition programs and employee events.
  • Establish and provide training and development opportunities in partnership with managers.
  • Act as Workers Comp liaison for effective claim management.
  • Coordinate temporary staffing needs and conduct new employee orientations.
  • Assist in recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles.
  • Manage internal company communication, including bulletin boards and newsletters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' hands-on human resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with professionalism in interactions with all levels of clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and dynamic deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous improvement mentality.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with proven influencing experience.
  • Ability to analyze data, form plans, and execute at the tactical level.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to establish priorities and manage deadlines.
