About the position

The Senior Human Resources Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting and administering the company's HR programs, policies, and procedures in a compliant manner. This position is integral to a rapidly growing team that focuses on providing advanced technology solutions for national security and commercial markets. The role emphasizes technical and administrative excellence in a small company environment, fostering an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the oversight and administration of human resource programs, including benchmarking and updating compensation programs.
  • Maintain competitive benefits programs, including medical and dental benefits.
  • Enhance performance and learning management systems and offerings, including training and development programs.
  • Support the onboarding and off-boarding of employees.
  • Contribute to the development or updates to HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Support the performance management process, including performance reviews and handling complaints and investigations.
  • Conduct or assist with audits and filing mandatory reports, such as I-9 audits and EEO-1 filings.
  • Support the implementation of HRIS systems or modify current systems to streamline workflow and report HR metrics.
  • Support payroll processing as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files and documentation.
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of human resource records.
  • Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or 10+ years of demonstrated experience as an HR Generalist in lieu of an HR degree.
  • At least 5 years of additional Human Resources experience.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CHRP, or similar certification is strongly preferred.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000 annually.
