About the position

The Senior Human Resources Specialist for the Compensation team at the University of Missouri System is responsible for providing professional consultation and administrative oversight on critical compensation projects. This role involves monitoring and tracking compensation requests, managing classification and evaluation projects, and ensuring high-quality customer service to Human Resources leaders and partners. The position offers opportunities for professional growth based on the institution's needs and the individual's expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track incoming work requests and routine updates.
  • Maintain job code tables and update classification specifications.
  • Review and evaluate requests for job evaluations and provide guidance to HR leaders.
  • Utilize survey sources and internal data to analyze and recommend pay grade levels.
  • Assist with salary structure updates and maintenance of compensation-related tools.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for compensation initiatives.
  • Manage all projects in a timely manner, ensuring all requests are addressed within agreed service windows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with large data files.
