About the position
The position involves supporting a wide range of groundwater resource projects, including high-yield supply well installation, mining dewatering evaluations, and groundwater assessments. The role includes both fieldwork and office tasks, providing opportunities for mentorship under senior hydrogeologists. Project Managers will independently manage complex environmental projects, prepare proposals and budgets, and interact with clients while overseeing junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Support groundwater resource projects related to well installation and testing, mining dewatering evaluations, and groundwater assessments.
- Assist with project management, including marketing, proposal preparation, field work, data analysis, and technical reporting.
- Conduct field evaluations such as groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, and well logging.
- Perform office work including data analysis, client coordination, and technical reporting.
- Work in various hydrogeologic environments, including coastal plains and karst aquifers.
- Prepare project proposals and budgets, and perform project invoicing.
- Review daily field reports and conduct peer reviews of deliverables.
- Interact with and train junior staff members on environmental projects.
Requirements
- 10+ years of related experience in hydrogeology or a related field.
- MS in Hydrogeology, Geology, or Environmental Engineering preferred.
- Licensed Professional Geologist required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, GIS, AQTESOLV, and MODFLOW.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
