About the position

The Senior Hypersonic Flight Test Trajectory Analyst at Koda Technologies Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting DOD-wide initiatives aimed at advancing hypersonic technologies. This position involves performing detailed analyses to facilitate the planning and execution of hypersonic vehicle flight testing, ensuring that critical data is accurately processed and validated against mission requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis that supports planning and execution of hypersonic vehicle flight testing.
• Develop, configure, and execute scripts/tools for post-processing, analysis, and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of simulated and flight test trajectory data.
• Perform flight test trajectory reconstruction from multiple data sources to produce a best-estimated trajectory of the flight vehicle.
• Develop, configure, and execute trajectory models and simulations, including end-to-end trajectory generation and Monte Carlo analysis.
• Document and present analysis at program technical reviews and milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field with 10+ years of experience.
• Ability to perform technical analysis of flight test data, including ballistic missile and hypersonic vehicle trajectories.
• Experience with missile flight dynamics, equations of motion, coordinate transformations, and physics-based modeling and simulation.
• Proficiency in analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, STK, and 3/6-DoF codes (TAOS).
• Excellent organizational, management, computer, and leadership skills.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with TAOS, POST, or similar trajectory simulation tools.
• Experience modeling and simulating hypersonic vehicles.
• Experience with aerodynamic modeling using Missile DATCOM and CFD tools.
• Experience with guidance, navigation, and controls.
• Understanding of hypersonic missile flight and associated test challenges.
