About the position

The Senior I&C Training Instructor position at Westinghouse involves providing training and instruction related to instrumentation and control systems in a nuclear power plant environment. This hybrid role requires a combination of on-site presence and remote work, focusing on developing and implementing training materials while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and instruction on instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power plant operations.
• Develop and implement training materials in accordance with industry standards.
• Maintain knowledge of operating procedures and technical documents relevant to nuclear operations.
• Facilitate training sessions and presentations for various audiences.
• Ensure compliance with NRC regulations and INPO documents during training delivery.
• Travel internationally up to 25% to remote locations for training purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering or a High School Diploma/GED with completion of Navy nuclear field pipeline training program.
• 4-10 years of experience in Navy Nuclear Operations, Commercial Reactor Operations, or related fields.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and database programs.
• Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access at a Nuclear Power Plant.

Nice-to-haves

• Instructor experience in a nuclear environment.
• Experience as a Navy Nuclear Instructor or Simulator Instructor.
• Knowledge of AP1000 and legacy PWR systems and procedures.
• Familiarity with the Systematic Approach to Training for developing training materials.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems.
