About the position

As an iOS Developer at PayPal, you will be part of the Product Library Team in Stockholm, focusing on creating and maintaining high-quality product and inventory management tools for iOS and Android POS apps. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team to enhance merchant operations and profitability through innovative solutions and tailored user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for engineering best practices and quality across larger teams and within PayPal.
• Support the design, implementation, and operational excellence of software components.
• Complete thorough assessments of implementation alternatives and their tradeoffs, providing recommendations for the technical engineering roadmap.
• Exercise judgment in reconciling diverse and competing priorities to identify optimal solutions.
• Serve as a key voice on team-level processes, overseeing projects to ensure accurate and operable solutions.
• Resolve technical inquiries and provide expert guidance to others.
• Provide technical leadership for a team with limited guidance from management or senior teammates.
• Interact and tailor communication with various technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Expertise in developing and maintaining mobile applications at scale.
• Strong skills in Swift and Objective C, with knowledge of multi-threaded, asynchronous code.
• Proficiency with the iOS SDK and various frameworks like UIKit, CoreData, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of consuming GraphQL and REST APIs from mobile applications.
• Passion for mentoring and developing other software engineers.
• Ability to discuss and clarify complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Well-versed in testing best practices and familiarity with at least one testing framework for mobile development.
• Skilled at writing unit and automation tests.
• Expertise in the MVVM design pattern.
• Solid grasp of structured concurrency and Combine.
