About the position

The Senior iOS Developer will lead agile scrum teams to develop customer-facing mobile applications, focusing on hands-on development, strategic planning, and mentoring. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and delivery of mobile applications, including meal planning and eCommerce apps, and may include leading a team of iOS developers in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of significant applications.
• Uphold and promote company standards and best practices, continuously improving software delivery processes.
• Develop programming specifications, design, code, and unit test application code using SDLC best practices.
• Collaborate with the Product team to plan new features, gather requirements, and propose solutions.
• Interpret business requirements, create functional specifications, and determine the most efficient technologies.
• Research and implement new interface development techniques.
• Support the entire application lifecycle, from concept to release and support.
• Demonstrate adaptability, drive, and creative thinking with new technologies.
• Establish and promote development best practices and mobile application standards.
• Foster a culture of innovation and creative thinking.
• Support and maintain applications using required tools and technologies.
• Mentor and provide on-the-job training to junior associates.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in iOS app development (primarily Swift, with knowledge of Objective-C and X-Code).
• Previous experience as a Lead iOS Developer is advantageous.
• Experience in project planning for large or complex projects.
• Strong understanding of mobile application development processes, from UI design to backend systems and API integrations.
• Proficient in Agile tools, processes, and methodologies.
